New Concord Area Pool provides residents with some Summer entertainment

The New Concord Area Arts and Recreation District (NCAARD) is organizing a summer of fun for the whole family at the New Concord Area Pool and they are inviting the community to get involved. Many of the same great activities put on by EMSPA will be carried on by NCAARD throughout the summer.
Community members are invited to start their Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays off right with morning lap swims from 10:30a.m. to 12:00p.m. Make lap swims a habit and keep a tally, the top three season lap holders will receive NCAARD T-shirts. Pool entry is $2.00 for season pass holders and $3.00 without. The New Concord Area Pool will be continuing Moonlight swims every Wednesday night for the same price as lap swims. Moonlight swims will begin at 6:30p.m. and end at 10:00p.m.
Swim lessons will also be available for community children at the pool in two sessions. The first session will be June 8th through the 12th and the second session will be July 6th through the 10th. Lessons last for a half an hour and depending on your skill level will begin between 10:00a.m. and 11:00a.m. Lessons will be $50.00 a week for non-season pass holders; season pass holders will enjoy a $10.00 discount.
NCAARD is will be introducing water aerobics to the pool activities for this summer, something new for pool veterans. This evening workout will be led by experienced instructor Ali Lawrence every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30p.m. to 7:30p.m. Class entry fees are $8.00 per class or $45.00 a month for season pass holders or $10.00 a class and $60.00 a month for non-pass holders.
